3LT Donates 10% of Online Net Profits to Surfrider.org in 2018
Locals Living Like Tourists is giving back in the new year of 2018. Beginning on January 1st, 3LT Clothing Co. will donate 10% of its online net profits to surfrider.org
“It’s the perfect fit,” says 3LT CEO Nathan Maggio. “Our company has established its roots here locally on Clearwater Beach. It just made sense to give back to such a great cause and organization.”
That organization is the Surfrider Foundation. Its focus is 100% on protecting and preserving our ocean, beaches & waves.
The Surfrider Foundation has 79 chapters across the United States. Collectively, they work to ensure beach access, clean water, coastal preservation and ocean preservation while educating the public and cleaning up beach and ocean litter.
Some of their greatest achievements in 2017 include banning plastic bags in California, protecting the Atlantic from offshore drilling, and stopping a 6-lane toll road from being built that would have cut through San Onofre State Beach. They currently are running 114 active campaigns across their 79 chapters.
One of Surfrider’s chapters is located here in Pinellas County. The Suncoast Chapter in St Petersburg holds meeting and events throughout the calendar year. You can find out more by visiting their chapter site at www.suncoast.surfrider.org.
“We are excited to get involved with the Suncoast Chapter and help support their efforts in preserving and protecting our beaches,” says 3LT President Mark Warady. “We eventually would like to help open more chapters in surrounding areas.”
The Surfrider Foundation has accumulated 455 victories since 2006. You can find out more by visiting www.surfrider.org.
